Here's what's coming up:
The verdict on Clawdbot
ChatGPT ads
When AI writes the blog
Here we go!

AI AGENTS
The Bullets:
Clawdbot (now Moltbot) is a viral, open‑source “always‑on” AI assistant that runs locally (Mac mini / VPS) and lives inside chat apps like WhatsApp, Slack, or Telegram.
It’s not a shiny new model. It’s a wrapper that gives models like Claude or ChatGPT actual hands (claws?) meaning it can run commands, install tools, touch files, and execute multi‑step tasks.
The hype wave hit so hard it triggered a forced rebrand after Anthropic raised trademark concerns over the Claude/Clawd naming. Internet fame is fun like that.
And yes, there’s a catch: security researchers are waving red flags. “AI with hands” means prompt‑injection risk plus broad permissions, and scammers have already shipped a fake Moltbot VS Code extension carrying malware. Because of course they have.
Why it matters:
Let’s be very clear and a little boring for a second.
This thing is powerful and that’s exactly why you shouldn’t rush to install it.
Clawdbot/Moltbot represents a real jump from “AI that suggests” to AI that executes. That’s catnip for entrepreneurs and marketers like you and I.
But it also means:
Technical set up.
Running it isn’t cheap (hello, API costs).
Guardrails are minimal. (Don’t install this without following instructions from a reliable source.)
Reliability is… optimistic.
Translation: it does stuff, but it doesn’t always do the right stuff and it’s costly to do that stuff and it also might do other stuff on your computer that you didn’t want it to do.
So no, you DO NOT need to panic‑install this or freak out that “you’re behind!” if you haven’t. This functionality will come to a safer, cheaper, less technical model soon.
For people doing real business work with AI, the smart move right now is curiosity, not commitment.
Watch demos. Kick the tires via YouTube. (This video lines up most closely with my current feelings.)

AI PLATFORMS
The Bullets:
OpenAI will test ads in the U.S. for logged-in Free + $8/month Go users, because surprise: running giant AI models is wildly expensive.
Ads are expected to show up as clearly labeled “Sponsored” placements, sitting outside the AI’s actual answer.
OpenAI promises “answer independence” meaning advertisers can’t just Venmo their way into being “the best option”
This is a controlled testing phase with big spenders like Instacart, Walmart, and Target. Peasants like you and I are expected to have self-service ads in the near future.
Why it matters:
ChatGPT is growing up, getting a revenue model, and realizing it can’t live on hype alone.
Watch as it continues to turn into a full‑blown discovery platform for consumers right before your very eyes. Think: Google with a personality.
🌐 I’ll take ‘Interactive AI’ for $800, Alex.
Answer: Unveiled in January 2026, this Google DeepMind project turns simple text prompts into playable, interactive worlds.

BY THE NUMBERS
91%
of marketers report that they are using AI in their work in 2026, according to Jasper’s 2026 State of AI in Marketing report.
A big jump from 63% at the beginning of 2025.
I have so many questions for that 9% that are holding out. 🧐

🐻 OH, AND THIS...
Somewhere in Tasmania, there is a town called Weldborough.
It has trees.
It has roads.
It has a pub.
It does NOT have a magical, secluded hot spring.
Hold onto that fact. It’s important.
Unfortunately, an AI was extremely sure that it did.
An Australian travel company published an AI-generated blog post enthusiastically promoting a serene attraction called “Weldborough Hot Springs.”
Tourists trusted the post. Because why wouldn’t they?
It looked legit.
So they rerouted trips, drove deep into the Tasmanian wilderness, and arrived in Weldborough expecting steam, silence, and a transformative soak.
Instead, they found… trees.
No pools. No steam. Just baffled travelers constantly refreshing Google Maps like it had betrayed them.
Meanwhile, the owner of the local pub was having the best day of his life. Surprise tourism will do that.
He welcomed the forlorn travelers with a standing offer:
“if you can find the hot springs, beers are on me.”
Classic Tasmanian.
